Something new....

I recently found a reliable source for carved Jade, so this is the beginning of some pieces that I'll be making with Jade.

This is a Jade carved Foo Dog, in Chinese Feng Shui, this is a combination of a dragon with a dog face, suppose to fend off evil, guarding of well being...

I've combined it with Green Rutilated (Phantom) Quartz, all wired up in oxydized Sterling Silver. This ring has quite a substance for sure, and it's made so it's off balanced.

yea carved pieces are always difficuld. i think jade in particular as its quite pale too. :) but i could see the dragon with dog head ;-) so you did very well hun! :)

I bet that was a pain to get a photo of! I love the offset stones and the "caged" wire under the dog gives a very unique look. Very nice! :)
